at 250,000 miles the engine in my SUV let go and am replacing it with a 1999 Navigator engine will it fit?

I think the navagator uses the 32 valve engine. I don't know if anybodys tried that yet.

It is not the same engine. it's totally different and will not work.

Thanks for the info. This post was 12 years old so I am sure they either figured that out or made it work. Either way appreciate you weighing in.

For the record this can be made to work but to your point, the time and expense makes it not worth it and probably should not be done due to how different they are.
