2005 Ford Expedition Stiff steering

Steering problem
2005 Ford Expedition V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 70000k miles

After driving for about 1/2 hour the steering seems like it has stiffness in places.I have had the power steering fluid flushed and i still get the same results.Any ideas

Have the ball joints checked.
