How do I replace the side mirror on the passenger side of my 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer edition?
It has remote adjust, heated and turn signal built into the mirror housing. Are there any special tools required to replace the complete housing and mirror?

I have a 2003 Ford Expedition / Eddie Bauer. The right side view mirror always adjusts itself to the full upward tilt position. Also, the controller to adjust both mirrors does not work. I manually adjust the mirror, but when I turn the vehicle off, then back on, the mirror goes back to the upward tilt position. Any ideas? Thanks.

If you have a driver preference system for seat and steering wheel position that coulsd be part of that system and pre-programmed to a certain driver position. If you have controls for driver one and driver two try either changing the setting or using a different key.

They make a repair kit. Basically, you clean and prep the glass and reglue the mirror back on. It takes about 10 minutes. Just go to a parts store and ask for a rear view mirror repair kit.

I removed mirror glass head to install arrow light indicators. Do I have to brake out glass to have more leverage to push back glass surface with groove onto ball? Very hard to ball back groove.

Hello,

Yes those can be difficult to get back in. Did it fall out? You must align each one of the pegs into the holes, I don't think you should remove the glass.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

I fix it back. I cut piece 4x4 wood about height of frame and put towel over mirror depressed gently with clamp. Later when I had to do again for other side I found I could do it with hand.
