We have been losing oil in our Ford Expedition. It was down 3 quarts in less than 2 months. We did change the pcv value last week and today the oil is still up. But do you think there could be another problem with the oil being lost? There is nothing on the ground to show any loss of oil. We don't see any smoke, but with all the emission control equipment on it, we are told we wouldn't. Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Yes we were able to solve it. It was a very inexpensive part called the PCV Valve. It cost about $2. It fixed the problem. My brother told me he thought that could be it. Then I did a little more research on it that also confirmed that a bad PCV Valve could cause the oil to burn out. We haven't lost any oil since we replaced it. Hope this works for you.
