There is no reset for a low oil pressure light. Is the engine making any ticking or knocking?

Let me know.

Joe,

I get that same warning, but only when the engine is off, but electrics are on. Never when the engine is on. So, when I first turn the keys in the ignition and leave it for a minute I'll get it, but after starting it clears and never shows.

Is that normal?

Thanks.

That is normal. When the engine is off, it isn't producing oil pressure. Once it starts, it does and the light goes out.

Long shot, I have the same problem as above. When keys are turned to auxiliary before crank the low oil light comes on. I replaced the oil pressure sensor, and still have the light before cranking but not while running. What else could be causing the light?

The light is supposed to come on when the engine is not running, If the light does not come on when it is running check the oil level and you should be okay. Use 2CarPros anytime, we are here to help. Please tell a friend.
