2003 Ford Expedition locked brakes

I noticed that the front wheels were acting like they were locked up and theres a burning smell. how can I take care of this myself?

are both sides doing so? first thign i would do is grease up the calipers and check the brake lines for deteroration and try driving it again. if they still do this then i have a feeling your master cylinder/porportioning valve is failing since both front wheels are doing it at the same time.
