2003 Ford Expedition Engine howl

My 2003 Ford Expedition has a strange howl that seem to be coming from the front when i accelerate. somewhat high pitched, started when it was getting really cold this winter. it is a 5.4L engine

Does is sound like a large fan sound or more like a screach? Is the power steering fluid full?
