Hi well to confirm the leak you can run eng spray fine mist of carb clean at the base of the intake. When you get to the leak the idle will raise. Now as how hard it is to change. Everyone has a diff opinion it is time consumeing and you must pay very close attention to what and how you remove things. Don, t pry on anything. If it is loose it is designed to pick up and remove.
