after tuneup changing sparkplug, transmission oil and air fuelter now seems like the car eating up to much gas than before. please response

Can you give some before and after #'s on fuel usage sowe have a starting point? Keep in mind, after a badly needed tune up is completed a person, myself included, has a tendancy to drive a vehicle just a little bit harder. Please advise.
