If fuses # 5 (15 - amp), 13 (20 - amp) and 15 ( 5 - amp) are OK, check the speed control switch assembly for damage along with the servo/actuator cable. Let me know how these components look so I can further troubleshoot properly.

Fuses are good, no visible damage to speed control switch, cable is free and connected. Thank you for your help. Anything else come to mind?

Try this test out and let me know the results. this does not require any special diagnostic tool.

When running the diagnostic test, we did get a cruise light to let us know we was in the diagnostic mode but it then continued to flash"cruise" at regular intervals. We went on to the second test and when we hit the "on" button, we had a "cruise" light but had no lights for the "resume", "coast" and "set/accel" buttons. Does that indicate that switch is bad?

Did the "cruise" light flash once, then 5 additional times when you say it continued to flash? If so, it indicates a faulty speed control servo. Be sure to follow step 2 within 5 seconds of entering the diagnostic mode.

It did flash once and then continued to flash about every 5-10 seconds apart from flash to flash. As long as we held the button in, it continued to flash. We wasn't sure if it was suppose to be 5 quick in succession flashes or spaced apart like mine was.

Ok, it will probably be best to have the vehicle scanned with a diagnostic tool. This will prevent a misdiagnosis and save you a lot of time as well.
