2001 Ford Expedition TAILGATE LOCK

2001 Ford Expedition V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I inserted my key to unlock the tailgate, and the lock completely came out. How do you secure or tighten the lock? The black adhesive seal wore out, and it kind of jiggles loosely when I put the lock back in.

There should be a retaining clamp on the inside. Have you remove the door panel to check it?
