2001 Ford Expedition Spiking Gauges and Flashing Lights

Recently, when starting, my dash guages (Speedo and Tach) will spike to the right and return and my headlights will momentarily flash on.

It also seems that the engine is turning slower than normal when cranking.

Lets start by having the charging system and battery checked-out due to the slow cranking
