what does that mean running to lean thats what the coed said. and how to fix that.

Basically that means you are getting too much air into the engine and not enough fuel. If could be cause by several things. THe first thing I would check for is vacuum leaks. A vacuum leak will allow more air to enter the engine.

Do that and let me know what you find.
