2000 Ford Expedition V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200k miles

My shifter works fine but the line broke or something because when you shift it out of park it doesn't change on the dash. It always reads park.

There is a wire that moves the pin. It is within the steering column. You need to remove the plastic to access it.
