I understand that there are three bolts that hold the starter motor in. I can only see two. How do I get to the third bolt?

No need. I got the old starter out. It seems that it does indeed have three mounting bolts, but when I took the starter out, there were only two bolts holding it in.
Since I bought this vehicle used three years ago, I couldn't tell you the history, but obviously the starter I pulled out wasn't OEM...

Glad to hear you got the starter out just make sure you go and get another bolt for the starter.Take one of the other two and have them match it up at the part's store.Also thank you for using 2carpros.
