1999 Ford Expedition removal of armrest

This is an Eddie Bauer edition Expedition with captains chairs in the front. I would like to remove the fold down armrest form the inside of the drivers seat.

I believe you need to remove the seat's cover to access it. At that point, it is held on by a retaining clip.
