1999 Ford Expedition door ajar light

my door adjar light is staying on dash and not allowing my overhead lights to turn off. when i hit my alarm lock button in shows door ajar. i noticed that my rear passanger door lock isn't going up or down and i hear what sounds like a relay clicking when i try to hit lock button on remote.what do i look at first ?
