1999 Ford Expedition

Just put in asound system 4 days ago and now every time I try turning it on, it sounds like the battery is dead put then the truck turns on, thinking it might need a new battery or starter, any ideas?

It could be either. What I recommend is this. Take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have them load test the battery and check the alt too. Most will do it for free, so there will be no charge to you.
