If the plugs were bad and causing a misfire, the check engine light would have come on and told you what cylender is causing the problem. I need you to check for vacuum leaks on the engine, Remove the EGR and make sure it isn't carboned and it is working properly, and if all that is okay, we will need to check fuel pump pressure. I will provide directions when we get to that point.
Let me know what you find. PLEASE NOTE: The computer will identify a misfire. However, if it only lasts a few seconds, it will not set a code. If you haven't replaced the plugs in a long time, it won't hurt. It is just at this point, I don't think that is where the problem is coming from.
