Electrical problem
1997 Ford Expedition V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 252K miles

I have the above mentioned vehicle and have recently replaced the battery, alternator, and the wiring kit they sell that splices onto the original wires that plug into the alternator. After all these repairs, it is still intermittenly not charging my battery. I read about a problem with leaky windshields causing problems and I know that is a dealer fix. I was wondering if you had any advice?

Is the new alt doing the same as the original one? As far as the leak, if you look behind the fuse panel under the dash, there is a module known as the GEM module. Check it for evidence of any water getting to it.

Let me know what you find.
