when i am driving at regular speed the engine sounds like if is off and the typical diesel noise is out,I release the gas pedal and the noise comes back again,it will do it again in few minutes,some times it will take days.

so when you press the pedal nothing happens or it dies out, then returns back to normal when going again , more info is needed
