Engine Performance problem 2000 Ford Excursion Two Wheel Drive Automatic I have a 2000 Ford Excursion with 110,000 miles. The engine knocks under heavy acceleration unloaded, and under medium and heavy acceleration while towing. I took it to the dealer who told me the mass airflow sensor was out of spec. I have replaced the sensor twice with remanufactured units and the knocking comes back after a short period of time. No dash warning lights, and my hypertech programmer which I just use to scan it, doesn't show any trouble codes. Could there be an electrical issue causing the sensor to fail?
