Hi, I recently purchased a 2002 ford. Escort zsz ( I think) mileage is 132000 miles, well I was wondering was it a good idea to purchase this car with so many miles. I mean it runs good, the check engine light is on and when I turn on the ac/ the car vibrates. I plan on driving this car out of town this upcoming weekend and I am sort of skeptical on it. Can I please get some help on this matter.

First thing is to have the Vehicle Scanned for trouble codes. Many Auto Parts Stores will scan it (usually for Free), AutoZone, Orielly's, etc. Get the Trouble Codes prior to doing any Repair, that will give you more Info on the problems. The Shaking when A/C is on can be a couple of things:
Pump
Belt
Mounts
