2002 Ford Escort No sound from my radio

Apparenty I fryed the alternatorl trying to start it. Have replaced the battery and replacing the alternator and the fuses appear ok but there is no sound coming out of the radio. It does light up but no sound.

If it has a built amplifier check and test it
