2002 Ford Escort Check Engine Light and Heater

My check engine light came on so I took it to a mechanic, he changed the o2 sensors. 4 days later the check engine light came on again & my heater stopped working. Are they related and what do I do?

Possible Cause
Open fuse.
Tripped circuit breaker.
Circuitry open/shorted.
Heater blower motor switch.
Heater blower motor switch resistor.
Blower motor relay.
