problem code indicates that the cam sensor is the problem, how do you replace this? any other parts to trouble shoot, wont accelerate beyond 50, difficulty with idling and rough shifting after 1st, thanks so much!

How old is the timing belt, may have jumped a tooth. Check the top of the shaft under the cam sensor for abnormal wear. IF so replace shaft and sensor.
