I have a 2001 Ford Escort sedan. The engine is a 2.0L. The transmission has been acting up lately and when the service engine light came on a mechanic friend plugged in a computer and told me there was a problem with the tcc solenoid. I took it in today for a transmission fluid change and they told me the fluid was burned. Is the burned transmission fluid something bad? If so what should be done to the transmission?
Thankyou for help
