Noises problem
2001 Ford Escort 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
I'm getting what sounds like a high pitch intermittent squeal from my engine. I thought it might've been a belt but it wasn't. When I did a closer inspection with my buddy, I took off my oil cap(which was a little hard to take off) because of a suction from crankcase. Anyway when I took the oil cap off the sound went away. I replaced the oil cap the sound and suction returned.

Check the PCV it sounds like it could be clogged up and not ventilating the crankcase. Also thr hose going to it from the intake.
Hope this helps
