I have replaced my fuel filter on escort zx2 and now it won't start. It also builds up a lot of pressure in the fuel line when trying to start.

Check the fuel pressure and comeback with the readings we start here.-Could be the fuel pressure regulator not maintaining the pressure or a clogged return line

I don't have a guage to check the pressure but it builds a lot of pressure. Do i ned to buy one? The fuel pump is working. I'm not sure how to check the return line. How do I check the regulator?
