I PUT NEW TRANSMISSION MOUNTS IN BECAUSE THE ONE IN THE FRONT WAS BROKEN NOW IT VIBRATES WHEN YOU PUT IN GEAR BADLY ALSO STALLS IS TRANSMISSION BAD? WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMEND?

I was having the same problem with my escort a few months ago. I was worried the vibration indicated a critical problem with the tranny, but it ended up being a bad tie rod. The part was only $20 and when I replaced it, the vibrations dissipated. I would recommend checking the front ball joints and tie rods if you're still having troubles.
