2000 Ford Escort My car has a noise?

I have a 2000 escort ZX2 and i have noticed a little knocking sound in the front. I checked the oil and it is good. The motor is clean nothing leaking anywhere. I know the spark plugs need replaced do you thing that could be doing it or do you think something else is wrong?

does this knock occur while moving or idle or both
