Do I have to remove the dashboard in order to replace the heater core?

Yes every thing out
Disable air bag system
Drain cooling system.
remove air cleaner outlet tube.
Disconnect and plug heater hoses from heater core tubes at firewall.
Remove instrument panel.
Detach antenna lead from heater core housing.
Disconnect vacuum control motor vacuum connector.
Detach vacuum lines from heater housing retainer.
Remove windshield defrost nozzle (remove push-pins, then screws and nozzle connectors).
Loosen heater air duct-to-housing screw.
Remove lower heater core housing nut.
Remove 2 upper heater core housing-to-firewall nuts.
Remove heater housing.
Remove heater dash panel seal from around heater core tubes.
Remove screws from beneath dash panel seal and remove heater core cover.
Remove heater core.
