2000 Ford Escort car not wanting to start at times

My car at times starts fine then at no particular time when u turn the key it wont even turn over nothing

Check battery terminals and clean + tighten

try to start in neutral (if OK in N will not start in P neutral safety switch need to be checked )

check starter solenoid and replace if needed

check starter wiring and or replace
