Trying to replace rotors on the front of a Ford ZX2 and they will not come off? Can they be tapped off or is there another part that needs to come off first. The brakes are free and clear of the rotor..

Most of the front wheel drive cars have slide on rotors. Some have threaded screw holes, if they do just put a bolt in the holes and tighten them a little untill they pop off. If not spray some wd40 on them around the hub area, wait 15 or 20 minutes and tap them loose. Rust will be around the hub where the rotor rides and sometimes it will make it dificult to remove them.
