I would consider myself able to do all mechanical repairs unless it requires some special tools. My question is if I would be able to change the front wheel bearings myself and if not so how much it should cost me for one to be done.

The front wheel bearing are pressed in there not a complete hub assembly if you had a front wheel bearing remover it wouldn't be so bad otherwise you would have to remove the whole knuckle and have everything pressed out.DO you have only one bad or are both making noise?Do you know how to tell which one is bad?

I am 100% certain that it is the front left. After asking around i realized a local auto parts store will let me borrow a front wheel bearing remover. I think I should be able to do it fairly easily if that is really the only special tool required. Or do I NEED a press to put the new wheel bearing in?

It depends on which wheel bearing remover they have you might need a slide hammer and a hub puller attachment to remove the hub from the bearing.
