I have replaced the fornt brake pads and rotors on my vehicle. I have recently noticed a burning smell coming from the left front wheel. I removed the wheel and noticed that the rotor was very hot and there was very little clearance between the brake pads and the rotor. I am planning to replace the brake caliper. Do you have any instructions on the proper procedure for this? Or is the problem something else?

Nope just frozen caliper due to dirt getting past boot and when you retracted piston the dirt went into chamber the siezed piston to bore.

Replace caliper with rebuilt unit. @$40

Take off caliper as you did when replacing pads but before removing caliper break loose hose. When calipis off rotate off hose. Do not reuse copper washer.Install in reverse order then bleed system.
