1999 Ford Escort Electrical problem since having the transm

I submitted a question yesterday (11/3/08) in regard to my 99 Ford Escort that wont start since having my transmission serviced. I made a donation for a Gauranteed answer, but the only response was another question back to me from the technician. To answer his question, the car will not turn over, fuel pump does not make any noise and nothing happens when the key is turned on.

Sorry for the delay. Let's see if we can help. When you say nothing happens when you turn key. Do you mean no light's on dash display. This would make me believe you have a bad battery connection. The fact the you can't hear fuel pump also leads to this conclusion. Please check and clean/tighten connections. If you have dash lights but nothing else is happening it is probably a starter motor problem, tap it with a hammer it may just be stuck. Please check these out and reply with outcome
