The Car stalled in the middle of the road would not start after Replacing coil pack Plugs and wires it still would not start. I removed the timing cover and had someone turn the key will I watched. I discoved that the ribs or teeth of the timing belt were ripped of by the crank pully. I lined up the timing marks, and installed the new belt three different times trying to start the car each time, with the same result, the car would not start. Each time I did that, I would check the timing marks and they no longer lined up. Where do I go from here? Am I 180 degrees out? Is there another problem? I am stuck please help.

Put the engine no.1 cylinder on its compression/TDC now line the cam and crank sprockets as you see in the repair manual then put the belt on. Make sure the ignition rotor is pointing at the no.1 cap tower when everything is set up.
