1998 Ford Escort Stop lights

No stop light work. I checked continuity on both bulbs and also checked the brake pedal switch.
Hatch door wiring harness is completely cut since a long time while my lights were still working.
What can I check to find why my stop lamp doesnt work?

check fuses and wiring to the brake switch also
