I have a 98 escort that runs good when first started but run real ruff after it warms up what could cause that thank you

When it's cold the computer uses set parameters to control mixture and the egr sytem remains closed, after it warms up, it uses info from all sensors, and the egr system is active, the first thing to do is have the codes read, autozone will read them for free, get the printout, and post the codes here...
