have a ford escort 1998 zetec I was driving it in thr pouring rain when it started trying to cut out ao got home had a look under the bonnet everything seemed ok then checked the fusebox to see if it was wet as they are bad for this I removed it put the hairdryer on it for around 15 mins then replaced it and now the cars just dead I have dash lights but thats it but there is a buzzing sort of noise coming from under the bonnet even when the key isnt in the ignition what ever it is has now drained the battery so charged it back up and the noise is still there and the car still wont start and the small red light on the dash keeps flashing so disconnected the battery for 5 hours still no luck but the red light on the dash isnt doing anything now it doesnt flash or do anything theres no red light there what so ever anyone know what the hells going on?

The battery is fine and so are terminals ive been told by several people it is the immobiliser that is preventing the car from starting
