I have a 1998 Ford Escort SE Sport with an automatic transmission, actually my problem is that the vehicle is not left on at low rpm and when accelerating revolutions do not rise and remains flooded, does not exceed 2000 rpm with throttle and repeatedly stepping on the accelerator the engine revolutions rises to a good acceleration, but when I release the throttle is off, on many occasions when in 2000 rpm and being drowned by releasing the accelerator up about 500 rpm more and back down, also to leave the throttle in the background just accelerates and decelerates between 2000 and 3000 rpm, remember the pedal to the bottom. I changed the O2 (Oxygen Sensor) TPS (Throttle Position Sensor), the fuel filter and spark plugs and the problem continues, also found a broken hose running from the intake manifold to (Canister Purge Valve) does not as desirlo in Spanish, this hose is changed too. At other times the acceleration to achieve good, I have for several times the acceleration from 2000 to 5500 rpm about four to five times and when you release the throttle the engine remains stable at low 800 rpm +/-, turn on the A/C at maximum lights and remains on, this only when I take the rpm to the maximum for several times, but turn off the engine and turning on the power again the same problem continued acceleration and drowning. Please someone help me with this.
Thanks in advance.
Greetings, Rogers

Have you checked the idle air control motor? Has the check engine light come on? Any vacuum leaks?

Thanks you Mr. "Jacobandnickolas"

My problem now is that the engine at low rpm it shakes a lot and wants to shut down but it does not, to accelerate quickly it does not react and the acceleration is slow. Earlier was worse.

Here are the LAST changes I made: I changed the PVC valve, IAC (Idle Air Control Valve), and clean the EGR valve. (I do not now it is working Properly?) With all these changes improved the engine, but the problem continued, and when the vehicle is running feels powerless.

Please tell me something, NEED YOUR HELP. Pls.
Thanks in advance.
Greetings,
Rogers

You replaced one of the items I questiond, the iac. As far as the EGR, is the valve sealing? Also, have you checked closely for any other vacuum leaks?

As far as the power loss, have you checked to make sure the catalytic converter isn't partially plugged? Also, have you checked the temp sensor?
