I can not get my cvc shaft back into the trany ive pushed pounded ive tried everything any ideas

1ST make sure you have the correct axel
check the ring at the end of the shaft some times little grease will hold it better

Used grease and its the same shaft I took off so I know its the right one

All I think of is the ring at the end take it of and try with out it
if it works then its the ring see if you can get new one or fix it
dont drive car without that ring or axel will come out while driving

These rings can be very hard to put back in. I try to use heavy grease to keep it centered with the shaft as closely as possible because the taper inside is suppose to squeeze the ring down as you push so it goes into the groove. A hammering action is not what it needs-- a steady high force is required to compress the ring so it snaps into the groove.
