I have a 1998 Ford Escort ZX2. I recently had the head redone because it blew a head gasket. I had the head tested for cracks and remilled. Car drove great. But now the car will not idle. It drives great, but when I come up to a stop, the car stalls. When I go to crank the car back up, it is very hard for it to crank and it lags some trying to crank, almost like it does not have enough juice in the battery. I had the starter checked. I have replaced the IAC valve, and the fuel pump. I am stumped. Any suggestions?

Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
