1998 Ford Escort Front Wheel Drive Manual

My escort died out on the road without any warning.I put a new fuel pump in it, and filter,also checked the timeing belt all brand new.It wants to start but wont,could the fuel pressure sensor have anything to do with it.

Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Also, are you getting a good hot blue spark to the plugs?
