The flexible vacuum hose at the top of the fuel pressure regulator connects to a small plastic cylinder. What is that cylinder called? I need to replace the part because the small protuberance over which the vacuum hose (from the fuel pressure regulator) fits is cracked.

Thanks!

Hi--thanks for the reply. My part looks different, though it may serve the same function. The cylinder is black plastic and about 2" long and maybe 3/4" diameter. A small vacuum hose from the top of the fuel pressure regulator attaches to the part via a small nipple. Two larger hoses are attached to the other side of the part.

Your right , it is not the fuel delivery module. Sorry, I could not find that part in the Ford Escort Factory Manual. It just says plastic tube.
If you go to the Ford dealer, they have a schematic diagram of the engine. Just look for the plastic tube that connects to the fuel pressure regulator, to the intake manifold, to the main vacuum line.

That sounds good--thanks for the assistance.
