Boy do I have a wild one for you! My GF's Escort has lost power to the instrument panel, brake lights and turn singals. I checked all mini fuses and found the "meter" to be broken. I replaced and the front turn signals and instrument panel came on, but the fuse quickly blew. In addition, I unplugged the wiper motor because it will not turn off when I plug it back in. I assumed a relay was at fault but none control all the features. Should I be looking for a short? Any ideas would be really appreciated!

for sure you need to look for short on that circuit as for the wiper motor you may need to replace the motor
but check the wiring and look for the short 1st
GOOD LUCK
