Computer problem
1997 Ford Escort 4 cyl 94255 miles

My car has come up with a code of P0443. I have replaced the gas cap but no change. Could you please tell me what all to check out. Or maybe there is a specific thing to check.

You need to start by checking the EVAP canister purge valve
check its connector and wiring
