1997 Ford Escort Beepping

I have had my car for about 6 months now and since about the second month when I start my car it makes a beeping noise. It makes the beeping moise 5 times for 4 consecutive times every half our. When it started it would go every hour but has since stared more requently. I think it is a wire problem but am not sure what it is related to.

Are any lights coming on the dashboard? Do you buckle your seat belt? Does it change if you don't buckle the belt?
