Hi, my air conditioning in my '97 Ford Escort stopped working in the middle of a drive across town. My coolant light was on, but I added more to see if that was the problem, and still no air conditioning. Do you know what the cause could be?

System need to be checked !
If coolant was low and car running hot AC system will be effected and will not cool as it should but as soon as engine cool off AC should work

check fuses and relays check AC state of charge and if low on 134a will not cool
